I HAVE GOT A 4L60E AND I AM HEARING IT WHINE WHEN IT GOES THROUGH THE GEARS, EXSPECIALY THROUGH 1ST AND 2ND. I HAVE CHECKED THE FLUID AND ITS NORMAL AND THE TRUCK SHIFTS FINE, NO SLIPPAGE.
SO WHAT GIVES?

If you haven't done any work to it .. it's gonna go .. it's just a matter of time. I say run it til it's broke, then replace it with something better.

it might be just your gears, maybe that got pushed out of alignment

yah i have had work done to it but i dont trust it. it was rebuilt about six months ago. anybody have any suggestions on what transmission i should replace it with?

is there a transmission out there that will hold up or should i just get this one rebuilt?

I've heard a lot of good things about the FLP one, but it's a little pricey. THat's the one I want for my truck before I get the blower on.

found the web site but they dont post anything for the trucks, is the fbody transmission the same?

Yes internal wise. If you are 4x4 the output shaft is different and the trucks tailshaft may be different too.

Who rebuild your last one? Was it a stock rebuild? Did you get a warranty? What is wrong with yours currently?
