Truck died, need advice
Hello,
Need some help. Truck is a 2003 Chevy 1500 HD. Mostly stock, magnaflow exhaust, hp tuners, and a volant intake. Nothing spectacular.
Wife was driving the truck last week when it all started, ought to make her fix it. She was at a stoplight and the truck just died she said.
This week, two mornings ago it kind of studdered and that was it. Yesterday morning studdered a little more, but went on. Oh, after that it ran and started fine the rest of the day both days.
This morning it died on me twice and had trouble starting both times. Got where i needed to, did the job, and had another hard start and then made it to o'reilly to get a fuel pressure guage. Fuel pressure was 50-56psi on prime and running, at that time and dipped into 40s when revved. Got it home to replace fuel filter and that was the end of her. Replaced fuel filter and same thing. Ate lunch and came back, she fired up and ran for a while, "missed" here and there. Still primes to 50-56psi though...
Would the fuel pump still prime to 50-56psi if it was going out? Not even sure that's the right pressure, o'reilly guy said it was ok. Where should I look next?

PO335, PO336, U1000, & B2958

ty xchevy for reply.
here's some more info,
called my bro-n-law, mechanic. told me to look at the crank position sensor. said spark and fuel are trigger by cps. also the rpm gauge should go up while being cranked, not much but a little. didn't notice anything on the gauge, so logged cranking with hpt and stayed at 0rpm. if it's not starting after x amount of seconds it should kill fuel anyway right? going to check the cps and get back...

My crank position sensor says my truck is off, but my big block runs like a dream. What should I be doing? Sorry to get off topic.
I am leaning towards fuel pump, I've gone through two and had similar problems.
