Default truck newb on 6.0 swap

So long story short the 5.3 in my avy is on its last leg. Locally found an lq9. I have an upgraded 4l60e by monster trans guaranteed to 650hp 600tq so not worried on the trans. I know its direct drop. My questions are
1. Do I just use the 5.3 harness?
2. Will the lq9 ecu have any issues with controlling the 4l60?
3. Any suggestions and guidance would be helpful.

Yes you use the 5.3 harness. You will also need to use the 5.3 flywheel. You will need to get it tuned soon. To get it around I would use the 5.3 pcm, the 6.0 will run on the 5.3 tune and so will your trans.

No problem. If you dont have a converter now is a good time to consider one. Not sure what you have in mind but driving a truck with one vs without is night and day. Decent ones are only 400 bucks new.

FYI if it is truly an Lq9 you do not have to use the 5.3 flex plate. I opted to use the Lq9 flex plate on my swap because it seemed beefier than the 5.3 flex plate, plus I have seen more than one 5.3 flex plate crack between the "bean" shaped holes. I have been running on the 5.3 tune since October. Its not adviseable but it is doable. I am waiting till next march when Justin at BlackBear comes back to the DFW area.
