Truck pinging????

I have not touched the maf and I too notice the pinging on my truck at low RPM's It has always done it so I have stopped paying attention... But, if someone knows how to remedy it, I would be interested in finding out why.

after you put the tunes in whether its hyper tech or a custom tune, you should have the crank position sensor relarned. my truck was pinging after the tune and went away when i relarned the crank sensor. this has to be done with a tech2.

I doubt he is having pining, he said it's like a pinging noise. The noise he described was just like mine and mine ended up being my cats.

IF that hole is sucking air, you might want to fix that first.
Check the seal at the throttle body, I've seen a lot of loose ones, that will cause a little bit of pinging.

how do you clean the MAF? what do you use to clean it with? I've got a new MAF screen on its way. Thanks.
remember nitrous cleans anything

I use to get a pinging sound at lower rmps and at wot when i ran 87 octane. I switched to 91 and no more pinging.
