hmmm, mine is RETURN style, but I'm not sure if it matters. Mine was doing EXACTLY the same though. If you look at the Thread above, I'm now getting a new fuel pump.

ME TOO...I had the fuel pressure checked at the local garage, and it was between 50 and 60, but I didn't get to check it when it was low before it went out, so it was reading fine with more fuel in it.

When mine is below 1/4 tank, the fuel pressure drops off dramatically at more than half throttle. But if you put more gas in it, its fine. But its getting worse

are you guys letting your gas level go below 1/4 tank before filling up? i try to keep mine above 1/4 so the pump doesn't burn up...45k just seems a little early for a fuel pump..atleast IMO

It's pretty hard for me since 95% of the time my gauge doesn't work.

Believe it or not, the gas in the tank keeps the pump cool...when you continuously run the tank low, the pump begins to overheat and causes premature failure. Your truck is a 04..iirc, the fuel filter is in the tank. if so, i'd definitely change it when you're replacing the pump. You'd be suprised how much harder the pump has to work due to the filter being clogged.
