i have a 01 silvy with a h/c 6.0. i have never really ran my a/c however my step son used my truck for prom so i decided to re-install the a/c belt. a new one. i took it for a test ride and noticed that the truck surged off and on the entire ride. i have a 145 amp alt that has maybe 10k miles on it. was new when purchased.

albeit, the alt is newer, i didn't really drive my truck for over 2 years. a/c blows cold. i don't have a huge stereo system.

lastly, here lately my engine is starting to clickity click when starting. i have three batteries. only one in the truck but the other two stay on a batt keeper. after about 3 to 4 starts they all do it. i watch my volts go from 13.9 to 13.3 while driving via a digital gauge.

so the question is, do you think my low mile alt is starting to give up the ghost? or is this another issue all together
