Definitely a different setup.

Will that thing run in the rain? (with the airfilter down under the truck)

*sigh*

The STS kit works great. I live about 30 minutes from STS and have seen all their test vehicles, and a number of customer's cars.

By way of comparison, a stock LS1 car here will struggle to break into the 13's due to elevation. 14.2 at 99 is pretty common for a 2.0 sixty and a 6 speed. My vette runs consistent 12.6's on motor at about 110 mph. I street raced a stock LS1 SS with this kit and got passed at about 90 mph. I killed the guy off the line (wide tires and IRS) so badly that I could see him the rear view mirror. For him to make up that kind of ground his car has to be capable of at least 113+ trap speeds. 115-117 would be more likely. That's 13+ mph faster than stock. Awhile later that stock SS with their methanol injection made 509 RWHP with 8 psi of boost. Stock fuel system, stock cam, stock everything. I saw the near stock (low compression pistons and LS1 rods) LT1 make 522 RWHP and 620 RWTQ with the stock fuel system.

I know it sounds like I am plugging the kit, but Im not trying to. When the the kit first came to my attention I immediately wrote it off as obviously laggy, and quite retarded in design. I don't think the kit is going to break any records or anything, but for the price and ease of install it definitely merits consideration.

LOL

Check the date of the post. I only brought it back to the top as a reminder to people to NOT imediately blow off new ideas. I think most people in here at least agree that the kit does indeed work
