truck wants to shift into 4LO
the 4LO light will keep flashing and wants to shift into 4x4. it sometimes will shift into 4LO if i am going through the gears from reverse to drive since i have to go through neutral. when i am cruising down the road in 2HI, the 4LO light keeps flashing for like 30 sec and then stops for a few minutes and then starts up again. the only thing i can think of that is different with my driving lately is that i had the yank3000 installed a few weeks ago so some of the wires underneath the truck had to be disconnected in order to get the tranny and tranfer case out. also, today is the 1st day i noticed it and it is the 1st day that i drove it in wet weather. not sure if the rain has anything to do with it. i am clueless when it comes to car computer stuff. help me soon, i have a long road trip ahead of me this weekend and i don't want any problems. thanks

I would take it back to where you had the work done and get them to check the wires, make sure nothing is pinched and everything is connected right.

Seams it is trying to command 4LO, if you are going slowly and this happens put your truck in neutral and see if it does shift.

Damn Mike... sorry to hear that you are still having problems with that thing. Have you called Jake? I doubt you want to come all the way out here again though. Try taking it to a "reputable" shop in your area and talk to a mechanic, maybe they can point you in the right direction without charging you for it.

without charging you for it...... I like when people suggest this to me at work things like "whats my price" or "can you make me a deal." At one point I was fed up with it I replied asking where this person works he said home depot so I asked "when I go to home depot are you gonna give me a hammer for free?" EOS gentlemen paid his bill with list prices....

Hey Floating... what I was suggesting is that maybe if you explain what's going on, they might have an idea of what's causing it, without bringing it into the shop.... NOT bring it in, I'll tear it apart, put it back together and not charge you.
Maybe you're not a nice enough guy to do that for people...
but I know quite a few mechanics in this area that are.
