Default true duals 2 bullets = too loud

Well I just finished my install. I have the 2 Dynomax bullets longtubes, gutted cats and dumped about 10" behind the bullets. DAMMM is it loud! It would be awesome at the track. Also it drones in the cab pretty bad. Is there any to tone it down a bit, with out getting new mufflers?? My guess is it will only get louder over time.
What do you think?
Thanks,
Mike

put on longer tailpipes, or use some resonated exhaust tips. I used some borla resonated tips one time and it completely shut the lontube no cat exhaust up. Barely louder than stock.

x-pipe will def help the drone. I don't have the cats, true duals with TOG headers, and 2 Dynomax mufflers. The sound used to annoy me til I put in the x-pipe. And I would extend the pipes to go over the rear axle and dump

i have midlength headers with three inch bullets dumped about two inches pass the cab and its not that bad. it drones alittle on the interestate but i just turn the radio up. its a small price to pay for it to sound so mean.

What does a x pipe actually do??

I left my cats on for the visual inspection. The codes are taken care of in the tune.

Anything dumped under the truck is going to cause high amounts of drone. if you run the pipes out the side or out the back it will decrease the noise slightly.

An x-pipe is like a more efficient h-pipe, but besides just balancing out the exhaust pulses, as the left pulse leaves the x it helps pull the right pulse through, and so on. One of the side effects of the x-pipe is a mellower exhaust note.
