Default True Tahoe / Yukon Curb Weight?

2 or 3 months ago Motor Trend had an SUV comparo article and quoted a new 4wd Tahoe coming in at 5050 pounds.

Today I got my Car and Driver, which has a similar article on SUV's and lists a Z71 Tahoe at 5800 pounds!

Allan Futral lists his 2wd Tahoe @ 5175 (not sure how much gas but I think it does take into consideration the bigger wheels/tires and electronics).

http://www.futralmotorsports.com/tahoe_mods.htm

So what should my 2003 2wd Yukon weigh?

Probably close to Futral's.

Cool, hopefully alittle less without the big rims and electronics? I wonder if I can get down to below 5000 by dropping the 3rd row seats, spare tire, and running low gas.

I guess Futral's race weight was with him in it?

No one has any ideas on why the two weights in the magazines were so different?

Anyone else that has weighed their Yukon/Tahoe chime in please.

A 2wd Tahoe with stock wheels should be around where my 99 is, which was 4900 without me and with a 1/4 tank of gas. I can see a 4wd one being another 300-400 lbs.

Cool, I almost had a chance to weigh mine today at the local farmers market but didn't have time. When I do I'll post it, PSJ looks like we are close on weight too, I'd love to line up before you get your converter, etc.
