trying to build a nice 327
I got a older 327 with a 60 over running KB 156 pistons, eagle rods, edlebrock performer rpm intake with performer series 750cfm, hooker super comps, GM HEI, 1.6 roller rockers, 9.8:1 compression ratio on a set of trick flow 23 degree aluminum angled plug heads, cam is a comp magnum 280h with 280 in/ex, adv 230 in/ex at .050, .480 lift in/ex with 1.5 rockers so with 1.6 its bumped up to .512, 110 degree lope sep. angle.
what kinda stall ill need for a 700r4? what kinda ratio gears i could get a way with? and if it runs an hp/trq est? How much spray can she take if i decide 2?

Sounds like a nice combo. A 650cfm carb would run perfect on that engine. Some may say a 750 but you won't have the best throttle response and part trottle power with it as you would a the 650. A 750 may give you 5-10 more hp on the top end but I would not recommend going that route unless it isn't a daily driver. Overall you will be much happier with the 650. Stall 2500-3200 depending on if it is a DD or weekend toy. Gears, something in the 3.73-3.90 range. And hp, probably in the range of 400-450 hp at the flywheel. Good luck.

a buddy just dropped a 327 with Kieth Black pistons in a 83 silverado. He bought the FULLY built motor supposedly for 300$. All he knows its a 327 with 350 heads, KB pistons, and edlebrock intake and carb. LOL...oh and he found out after installing the cam is MASSIVE!!!!
He is just to hard headed to understand that his carb isnt to small....he needs a bigger stalling torque converter...he has a stock one.
motor sounds good tho, BTW he cant even turn the one tire over.....I find it REAL funny.

I'd say go with the 650 also. with vacuum secondary's. I Had a .040 327 in a S-10. mechanical secondary's were too much.so was the 750 in either config. make your advance come on real quick,

I'd recomend a 650cfm carb, 4.10 gear, and 3000 stall.

alrighty.
all this sounds fun to me.
how does the stall affect it running down the highway?? cause will it be close to what rpm it will be running at down the highway.

3200 stall speed is very streetable. MPG will suffer a little with higher stalls. They are less efficient for accelerating around town due to being under the stall speed more often.
