Default Tsp 220 .581 lift 112 lsa....can it be turbo/supercharged?

Like the title states i am just curious on can it be done and work well? everything i have read says no and that you need a 114 lsa or higher. Is this true? Thanks for the input guys. My mods are in my sig.

You can use any cam you want with a turbo or supercharger, and it will work fine. You may get a few extra HP out of a higher LSA cam with a supercharger because it doesnt bleed off as much boost, but 112 will work fine.

atomic pretty much summed it up haha, the choppier idle just bleeds off boost, but it'll still work

Of course it would work with a SC but it wouldn't be the most efficient cam out there. I would just run with it for awhile if you go SC and if you are not 100% happy then get a different cam. A split pattern cam with generally a higher lsa would net you the most gain though.

The Tsp220 is a good cam, you can even run nitrous if you wanted to on that cam and see good results..

I know of a member on here running a 224/224 112lsa cam on a radix 5.3, and he is running very nice times, like most say that low lsa is probably not the best but it still works good. Run it and find out if you like it or not, you can always change it later..

Mangled03gmc is running a 112 cam on his ProCharged 6.0 and lovin it...may not be the optimal lsa for a boosted cam, but it will work just fine
