Default Tunes - whats the real deal?

Ok guys - I'm not a shady tree mechanic here - I've got a degree in auto -tech specializing in GM, and have 4 years of experience wrenching at a Chevy dealer - but I need some real input on tuners, cuz I never noticed a bit of difference with the HPP3 tune i'm using...

This is what I want -

A tuner that I can use on my laptop, while plugged into my OBD2 port. I want to be able to see ALL live data and tune to MY taste EVERYTHING.

Does anyone make it? Have you guys used one? Where do I get one, and what sponsors sell them here?

I have a scan tool and dyno tool that runs on my laptop, and it's accurate as hell as long as you give it the correct base info. - Auterra Dyno-Scan

Thanks

HP Tuners is what you need. It will take you a while to get the tune to your tastes and really perform well since you dont have any tuning experience but it can be do. You have already discovered the place to helpl you with any questions. When you get hpt go to the PCM Diagnostics & Tuning section and ask away and do searches you will find all the info you need.

I'm looking at getting HPTuners also, but have had EFILive recommended as well. May want to check them out too, but HPT has a lot more experienced users that will be able to help if you need I believe.

I just got HP tuners, and I have no clue what the hell I'm doing, so far all I've messed with was the trans settings, but I would highly reccomend it, compared to my HPP3 its a night and day difference

HP Tuners, with your GM experience you should have no problem with it. I would love to get it but I am afraid that I would do more wrong than good.

HP Tuners for sure..

The really cool part is if you wanna get nutty you can remove your MAF and go Speed Density if you know how to tune. It's not too much of an upgrade to do so and so far Rick@Synergy is loving that option. He just tuned a car the other day for Speed Density and it was a night and day difference. It's what we are doing on my RCSB

I use it. You have to get it from HPtuners directly just go to thier website. As far fas learning it is a broad curve took me a couple months to be able to consume the majority of it. i WOULD START READING ALL THE STICKEYS IN THE PCM SECTION AND HP TUNERS WEBSITE. I tried reinventing the wheel and its alot easier to read the damn stickies. Once you get it you will love it
