Default Tuning issue with 05's

Is the problem with the L33's only? Or is there an issue with all 05's. I have been hearing rumors that you cant mail order tunes for 05's. Any info would be appreciated.

I tuned a 05 L33 with HPTuners with no problems at all so this rumor must be B/S

The problem with mail order 05 tunes is the lack of cores, nothing else...

Personally I think a dyno/street tune is the only way to go.......If you have access to a dyno shop.

My 05' is a good candidate for high altitude radix testing. Come up and test her out. I will provide the beer.

Oh yeah bring me a Radix, as well.

Default The Problem With 05 Mail Order Tunes...

... from what has been explained to me, has to do with the software (and version) the Tuner is using. The software comes with a list of VIN numbers. If your VIN is not in the list, such as the case of some 05's, the tuner cannot flash a core. If you take your truck to him or park your truck and send him your core, he can do it.

No BS!

This was used to tune a supercharged truck, As far as what was changed ( ALOT ) Its just the regular version 1.7 of HP tuners that was used and like I said no problems. I am glad you enjoyed the Game.
