Default Tuning for Supercharger

I'm gonna get a Predator in lieu of a custom pcm tune b/c my truck can't be immobile due to my job. When I get it, does it matter who I buy it through, for support on custom tunes. Is it going to work with my Whipple?

Hey jdpanero I remember you saying you were doing an intercooled Whipple too. If you do complete that project, there are many airflow tables in the PCM that need to be changed (airflow decay, idle air, and IAC positions) I did all of these with edit as the intercooler really messes up normal driving airflow to the motor (especially with a cam in my case ) We almost have it all dialed in though.
I guess with a Pedator they can tune it for you if you run into these problems. However, it may take them several tunes to nail it for you.
Other guys on here have Whipples and a Predator to tune, and they have sent it to get custom tunes for their Whipples too.
For the cost involed with both, I would say spend a little bit more and get LS1edit. You have to do a lot of studying for edit though to understand most of it.

Ryan, I decided to hold off on the intercooler b/c I don't want to guess and/or screw too much more with a work truck. I just don't want to show up with a rental for a week.

I wish I had the time to study up on Edit, but I don't. I need some more timing, no tq mgt, and to tweak the a/f a little. That's why I want to go Preadator.

save yourself an extra 400 and get Edit. You will get it anyway, so save the $.
I don't think you can change PE A/F, PE TPS% settings, or anything you need with Pred.
