Default Turbo boost reference signal location.

Right now I have mine comming from the top of the snail (see pic) , but I have heard fom some on here it better if you get your signal from a point closer to the throttle body. Would it be best before or after the MAF?
Just have to braze a bung on I guess to relocate it.

on the passenger side of your intake near the firewall is a vacum port sticking out and all you have to do is twist the top off it and connect your hose to it...if you have a "t" then you can run to your boost guage as well from the same place...

I asked the same question a couple days ago and got the same answer as you. I emailed TiAl and asked them if it would be ok for the wastegate to see vacuum and got no answer, so I hooked it up just like these guys said and it seems to work just fine.

I don't think you need to mess with it unless you see spikey boost. I don't and I'm pulling the signal from the snail shell.

the only reason we are relocating the line there is we want to see the true boost # at the motor and where else to get that than right on top of the motor at the intake...true boost and vac numbers at the motor...especially if you are fmic with all that xtra pipe and all...and yes you can tell a diffrence when you relocate the line to there...

This is why I asked the question. So there is a difference to where you get the signal from then? I just want to reduce any lag that I get when on and off the throttle and from a stop so it spools up quicker.
