I didn't do a before and after test. I just stuck it in there knowing that the stock cam wouldn't work with my planned RPM range. My turbo wasn't going to make full boost till well into the 3800+ range so the stock cam was kind of a waste because it would fall off too early. I chose a cam that would allow me to shift my powerband a bit higher. In all Rick feels the cam may have been a bit too large for my setup but it's doubtful it hurt me much. The truck still ran decent for what it was. For a 4.8L I would probably go with something in the mid teens for duration but I'm no cam guru and I don't want to give bad advice

yeah i ask about a cam in another thread but it seems nobody agread with it so that why i'm trying to find out what people are using, and what works and what don't. perferably from experiance not just desktop dyno or just some opinion. trying for hard facts.

i agree from what i've read and researched so far it seems that your cam would be to big too.

A stock Cam works pretty damn good.Just up the boost and make sure the intake temp is cool. The Cams listed above are bigger than the one we are ussing with a 408 /T88 turbo setup. We're figuring 800hp on pump gas and 1000hp with a mix.
