Default Turbo kit for trucks??

Someone brought up this idea on another board...soo I figure I would turn to the guru's here and see if anyone had some insight on this!

Right now I have a R/C Stepside 5.3 with a whipple, longtubes, upgraded fuel system, etc.

Now, more and more I see the benefits of turbocharging...especially with the #'s that are being produced.

Has anyone had this idea? I know Lingenfelter has a TT Escalade, but I would perfer to go single...

If a turbo kit can be made to fit in an F-body, then its surely couldnt be that hard to put this setup in a truck!

I think STS is the only company that makes a turbo for the 5.3 liters. Thats the turbo that is in the back of the car. Dont know how good it is but its the only turbo I know for a truck.

Ohh yea, I've seen that setup...not quite sure what to think of it...

Why wouldnt a QMP (Rob Raymer's) kit work?? I mean its for an LS1, basically the same setup...just maybe have to make a few minor tweaks for intercooler placing...

Apparently a turbo kit should be ready to go Dec 1st or there abouts
Combination motorsports is building the kit
They saying that the dyno numbers are inline with the Radix supercharger figures
There kit is going to be a single that uses the stock manifold on the drivers side
With there choice of tubing and such there systems can support some serious power levels with a simple change in turbo
I think the kit starts with a t-60 for the 5.3l I think
They are running an air liquid intercooler for it aswell
Should be interesting to see
I know i want one wth a t-76

there was a guy on ebay a while back advertising a complete turbo kit, tune, and dyno for like $4200, he might still be on there, it was a special price for a prototype kit. The guy did mostly mustang turbos and i guess wanted to get into the truck aspect as well. If anyone is interested i can try to find him.
