so this will be a easy swap right? well then all i haft to do is get a good cam and a good tune and drop it in an i'm set.... you guys think i drop in the 12sec zone?

Even though LQ9 BBQ Special is cheaper, you will have to open it up and inspect it before you can just run it... If it melted the plastic intake I beat it boiled the coolant and leaked through the head gasket... At minumum you will have to by head bolts, head gaskets, clean the headsup, definatly replace the valve springs, Hone the cylinders. At worse there could be standing water and rust in at least one of the cylinders that will require an over bore and new pistons. You will want to pull the back cover and inspect the oil diverter... it may be damaged from the excess heat...

ok today i gave the deposit on the lq9 and took a good look at it turned the crank and cleaned the ports out it looks good but i still have to take it all apart and see the inside.
also i want to cam it and but 600 lift springs and advice on the heads i was told that useing the 4.8 heads will work and boost cc what do you guys think
