Which one do y'all recommend, the UPD or K&N? What are some advantages/disadvantages to each?

i recommend the UPD.
I have had both systems and the UPD is much better. It's easier to install and you dont have to take out the lower portion of your airbox.
Looks like the intake tube is much bigger and a larger surface area to pick up more air.
The K&N doesnt really seal off the filter which may result in sucking up mostly hot air. Find someone with the K&N and after they have ran it for a while, pop the hood and feel how hot the filter gets. My 2 cents.

Find anybody that has ran their truck for a while, pop the hood and see how hot the filter is. Airflow=friction=heat. Not to mention the ambient temperature.

With either the K&N or UPD, I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I would steer clear of the others though.

WTF is wrong with someone having an opinion.I seriously doubt that you can even prove which one is better.I really think he was asking peoples opinion anyway. As far as intakes I have the K&N and have had no problems with it.I can't complement on the UPD because I have never owned one.

Go with the UPD this is the best mod for the money. I have tried other intake systems,this has been the best.When I installed this system my fuel milage went from 18 to 20 on the highway and as high as 22 miles per gallon at times.Not only did it improve the fuel milage it helped my performance.My truck ran a consistant 15.0-15.1 stock when I installed the UPD intake my times improved to a consistant 14.8,and in good weather I ran a 14.7 three times;Not bad for only one mod at the time.UPD has more bang for the buck. I put on a FIPK and took it off on day 3 .All it did was make noise slowed me down 0-80mph by about .3tenths. The UPD i just bought i like because it doesnt make a **** load of noise and it may have picked up some in performance and response
