Default An update on my truck/ motor build for y'all...

My truck has been down for 2 years this August

But I've finally found enough time and money to get my motor built. It's a 370ci nitrous engine.

I used Mahle forged flat tops and Scat H-beam rods with ARP 2000 rod bolts. Added a ported LS6 oil pump. ARP head studs as well as ARP main studs. Cam is a custom grind for ALL my parts from PatrickG and Thunder Racing. Heads are Patriot Stage IIIs with cometic head gaskets. I origionally was going to run an LS6 intake but came accross a nice low mile ported FAST 90 and I bought an LS7 TB to go on it. Fuel rails are Nasty Performance and I still need to buy the FPR and am still debating a dual in-tank pump or just a single 255. I bought a set of Racetronix 42lb injectors. And once I get it together and running I'll be on the lookout for an EWP. Unfortunately I still only have 1 3/4" headers but the cam is designed to make up for that. Would really like to see a set of Kooks 1 7/8" 4WD/AWD truck headers

I have all other supporting mods that I had on my 6.0. Only difference is that this time I'm running a 2 stage NX kit with 2 10lb bottles instead of the single NX kit I had before. The motor will see a 200 shot and should be capable of handling a 300+(although I don't plan on jetting it that high). Both stages will be utilizing a stand alone/dedicated fuel system with 110 octane fuel.

Still have an FLT lvl5 65E w/ billet output shaft and am now running a TT3000.

I haven't shared what the truck runs or ran before but I'll post up what this new combo will put down. Even though the truck is heavy as hell (5600lbs) I think with the above combo on a total of 200-225 shot mid 11s should be very do-able.

I would think Mid-11's a conservative forcast. Do you think the 42's are enough even with the dedicated fuel for the nitrous? Sounds like it going to scream!

Sounds like a nice build. The injectors and single 255 were enough for my motor and 200 shot, so you should be fine aswell. I have a patrick G. cam waiting to go in mine also and was just curious to see what he recommeded for your set up. Good luck with the project.

Using all the calculators, yes. But once it's ready for the dyno tune we'll see what the actual IDC is.

Thanks tarinitup. Has he shot you your cam specs yet? He knows I wasn't looking for anymore cam than I need and that it'll be driven daily.

My specs were; 226/238 .609”/.607” 114LSA +4 advance on Comp XFI/XFI lobes.

He spec'd me a 238/250 .619”/.630” 112LSA, sounds big but he said I need it for the bigger cubes and nitrous. Can't wait to see how good his pick was.

What heads and intake are you running? That is large! LOL Do you DD the truck? Send me a clip of the idle when it's in.

Both are wet, and both will draw fuel from the stand alone cell of 110+. The 42lbers should be perfect for the motor and the street use it'll see.

For you, I'd maybe do some more searching to see bout the 42s feeding your motor and a dry shot... but I'd think a 110 shot would be ok just nothing more.
