I know in a 5.7, you have to flycutt to have 5.3 heads and an MS4...

not to hate, but I bet you'd make more power with a 212/218 than that big, and you better get a 4k stall.

big cam doesnt always mean big power. Its in the application.
The cam I want isnt a huge cam, but it gains more RWHP than the MS4. With stage 1 heads and longtubes, add ANOTHER +50hp onto that.

The MS4 is rated at +60whp. It doesnt gain but about 30-35hp with headwork.

He is right though, I hope you have a 4k waiting to go in. Your truck will be a complete slug til the ms4 powerband starts, which isnt at the advertised, because of your 5.3 It will probably start for you at around 3500.

Be sure and post up some dyno sheets or a time slip when you get it all lined out. Interested in seeing what thing puts out!!!

i will get some track numbers friday and some dyno numbers soon
i hope it does well
my first plan was to pull the 5.3 and put a 6.0 with this cam but money got tight and i already had the cam so i said what the heck and put it in the 5.3
how much better would it do in a 6.0?
