Actually I may sell the heads. I did find an old article on VMAX CNC'd LS3 heads which should be the same program as these L92's: https://www.lsenginediy.com/ultimate...r-heads-guide/
Scroll almost all the way down.

it lost oil pressure, the oil is gray and speckled and I am damn near positive it was knocking when I put load on the motor to get it into the garage
460mi after putting it back in, the second time lmao
At this point I am pretty fed up with this engine, and I have no idea what the issue is. I shimmed the pump, I have a pick up brace, I used the proper o ring and its obv seated in the pump properly. It may have pushed a galley plug or the cam retainer failed or the rear cover seal failed- but at this point I feel like it almost doesn't matter. I have 0 confidence in this motor and the shop that put the bottom end together. Its a lower comp motor for boost, so it basically makes cam'd LS3 power anyway, and I feel like everything I did here to get this motor into this car was a waste of effort
So, just buy an aluminum motor that was factory assembled and send it. How many LS3's make 450 at wheels? All of them lol

So, I have been beating this idea to death-
New LS3 long block much cheaper than used, for what you get; including peace of mind
Fixing the 408, while possible... leads me down the rabbit hole of "can I ever trust this thing again?
Used LS6 is about the price of an LS3. IF my cam is still good, I can swap it into the LS3 long block and basically party. I can also do a reluctor swap or converter box. With the bump in compression and less valve shrouding, my cam should make similar power in the smaller motor, and lose 30-50lbs of torque; which might be a good thing based on the car's ability to overwhelm the rear tires anyway lol
Looking like LS3 long block is what I will be pulling the trigger on. @Summitracing <3
