Yeah anything with the LS designation is retarded money. But you can find anything not LS for cheaper

L92 v. LS3 there are some differences. Some swap. Some dont. Internet says:
1. Valves- hollow vs solid
2. LS3 has superior breathability due to valley cover
3. Internal balance and pistons
4. No AFM/ VVT to manage/ delete
5. Brand new lol
so while I could have saved maybe 2k in the end, I would have had a used motor, with not hollow valves, no valley cover breather, one that I had pulled the heads off and swapped lifters and valley cover and cam and front cover, and it would be used, and dirty
so I went with the crate motor, that comes out of the box ready for me to party. Mostly. But it's brand new, and that is important to me. Nothing to clean, nothing to worry about. Cam swap because that is the way and reluctor swap because I am a cheap ***
yes I already have an LS3 manifold and I already have Corvette front drive. So I am fine there. I just need a long block that doesn't suck the ***. Ppl are reportedly getting 480whp with that Summit cam, so I could actually end up with more power at the end of this thing too

Used this cam in a Stock LS3, 1-7/8" headers and a ProFab Intake tube/filter. It put down 478rwhp on 93 octane and 481rwhp on X85. Thru a TR6060 transmission.
Put a Ported TB and Ported/Rodded Intake on it and it didnt pickup any power at all.
Now its getting turned into a 416 this week.

On the phone with @Summitracing and they are "unable to verify that price" of 4999, yesterday lol. Plus, I found it for 4999 on West Bend Dyno and they won't price match because West Bend charges for shipping lol

@Summitracing isnt dead to me yet. I'll be buying their 8711r1 cam for this thing and a 24x reluctor wheel. Since I have the tool, no need for a converter box lol
