Pretty sure if I go Holley I lose active handling. Since this isn't a drag build, I'm thinking that's a non-starter for me

Split crank signal with Current Performance splitter connector.
Get a TBSS front timing cover and run Holley cam sensor off that one, leave OEM at the back.
Find additional locations for oil psi and coolant temp.
Plug Holley coil and injector harnesses in lieu of OEM.
Connect, IAT, TPS, and MAP, ground the injector harnesses.
Not sure on transmission connectors if you’d need to do something for VSS for active handling? I assume yes.

I also think someone on here purchased a piggyback harness from Current Performance to do this very same thing.

Ok, quick update

My local Chevy dealer is a... joke. No LS3. Kind of a long story there

But! I ordered a higher comp 408 (-4cc pistons instead of the -12 in the current engine) from AMS Racing (11:1 static with 68cc heads), gen3 block

Ordered CNC LS3 heads with BTR spring kit

Probably get that same Summit cam I listed above, and still need dry sump

After all of this, if she still doesn't hit 500whp, Imma sell it lmao

The hurt 408 will get fixed and put into the Tahoe, in 7-10yrs

So they promised me an engine in early Sept. I call, no update. Call a couple weeks later, no update. Call again late Sept- get a very helpful lady. She says "oh, we didn't get that order submitted"

"ok, no problem- can we get it submitted please?"

"sure!" "oh but there is a problem, the cost of engines have gone up"

"ok, but can you honor the original price since I placed the order when the engines were 4999?"

"Maybe, let me connect you to my manager"

*line rings 5ever then hangs up*

So I said **** em, keep their engine lol. I was going to fix my 408, but the shop I want to use is 1yr+ out, so ordering a short block was the way to go imo

Ive already spent the $4500 with AMS to get a 408 coming to me. I did a lot of looking around and I decided if I was going to spend money, I was going to spend *money*. Though I do not have the finances to have gotten a motor from TSP, because... wow they are proud lol

Now I just have to either ask Pat to help with a cam again, or read a bunch and determine what I wanna do about cams

Sum-8711r1 (234/248) and Sum 8725r1 (247/251) are my current picks. Comp 240 is a good choice too (240/246)

Edit: current cam in car( if it's good) is 236/240 and I can post the graph. Wasnt real happy with how the power fell off at ~5k, so def looking for a different cam

Seems like parts supply is getting worse. Marine stuff is like looking for hens teeth...

The 4.3 short block I bought in like July that was "4-6wks out" is now like 4-6mo out lol

EDIT: Sept 5th I placed a big order with Leaders RPM. Promised to ship in 5-10 days; still hasn't shipped because the fuel/water separators are back-ordered. Like, let me rebuild the carb while we wait. At least lol
