the AIRAID helped mine a bit, but it looks like you already have one.
if you have an auto, get a tune (like you say you're plannin) & some 4.10s
i've seen one with a cam, but haven't looked too much into it because i just decided to do a 5.3 swap.

i never really found any headers for a 4.3 in a fullsize except for the JBA shorties, but shorties don't really do an awful lot

ive seen those headers i looked but kinda pricey for nothing really. I have seen some built s10s with the v6 and they ran pretty good. I dont need a drag car just more pep.

let's not make this a "v8 or go home" argument...
the guy wants a little more from his truck & sounds like he wants to keep his halfway-decent mileage (granted i'm still getting 14.8/17.5 with my 4x4 5.3 swap)

Na we arn't doing that. But you have to look at it this way. By the time, you go buy heads, cam for a freaking 6 banger, you have more time into it, I be willing to bet more money, then if you just would by a complete V-8 to go in its place.. It is just logical thinking is all.. Modding a v-6 is like wiping your as before you ****, it doesn't make any sense.. And quite frankly is a waste of money that is so hard to come by..

I had this argument with myself when I was driving my S10 Blazer. Did i want to put a turbo on it or put a V8 in it.
Decided on the v8 because it was easier (could do most of the work myself) and always had room for improvement.
It's not real difficult to drop a 5.3 or 6.0 into the s10. Don't let the fuel injection fool you.
