put at least a 5.3 in it....your gonna end up doing all that you can to that 6 banger and then your not gonna be satisfied with the power its putting out and then your just gonna end up putting a v8 in it anyways somewhere along the road. btw,, dont get a 4.8.. lmao

his truck was built with a 4.8... if you're doing an engine swap, it's the weakest option (of the LS truck engines) & the minimal power gains ain't really worth the time & effort

i also just noticed... if you lose them chrome 20s in favor of some aluminum 17s, that'll liven you up a bit right there

no heads, unless you P&P the stockers, cam- comp makes some they are hard to find but they are out there just gotta know where to look at
Check out fullthrottlev6.com for V6 stuff

Honestly most sites are V8 or go home. lol but they are right. for the amount of money spent on modding a 4.3L you can buy a stock V8 swap it in and have more power than any 4.3L N/A just my $.02

i think i remember seeing something where a guy modded a 4.3 marine intake to work in his truck, but it was an expensive job.

to be honest, unless you need to replace those parts anyway, i'd just save the money for a V8 swap. i hate to say it, but after being in your position myself, i know what you're feeling - you want more than what the 4.3 can give you, but you ain't quite ready to take the dive of an engine swap. trust me - it ain't all that hard & it's well worth it! if you're worried about mileage, my 5.3 still gets 15/18 on a cold engine & winter blend gas.

maybe we should meet up sometime. my truck's pretty easy to spot around town - it's the only one with these tail lights or purple DRLs/blinkers

ps - based on the weather forecast, you'll probably be glad you ain't got the power to spin them big heavy wheels tomorrow
