Default V8 jeep???

I know this isnt about trucks. i have a POS inline 4 cyl. jeep wrangler. is it easy to stuff a v8 into it and what is needed to make the engine fit? how much money is involved in this transformation? (not including the engine)

wow.....plan on trans, engine, plus engine mounts, engine stuff, custom drive-shaft, and rear end swap.....stock rear will break fast......, thats a lot of work and money, it would be a cool jeep for sure, but way to much work......"do it"......lol

I think there are several LS1 jeep wrangler conversions. I'd love to do it. I had a 4cyl wrangler and sold it because it didn't have any guts. An LS1 would cure that.

Do a search in the conversions section.

Been there done that. 89 YJ. If you can scource out a flywheel and clutch assm. out of a 6 cyl and the transmission as well it will make the project less complicated as you can reuse the drive shaft and trans mount. The engine mounts will require relocation. This is assuming you use something like a 360 or another chrysler engine. It's really not all that bad but the diff won't hold it. You'll need something stronger eventually but that can be dealt with after the install.
