Default Vacuum Actuated Cutout anyone?

Ok, I was wondering if anyone here knew of a vacuum actuated exhaust cutout for a 3" pipe? I do not want a cable driven or electric cutout. No drilling holes in anything in the truck or running wires. It would be cool to just have a cutout system that worked soley on vacuum only under WOT Kind of like the Z06 vette but I'd rather not have it internal to the muffler. Just a cutout with a vacuum pod regulated linkage

Ask kbracing96. He built me something kinda like that. It's a QTP cutout with the electric motor removed and a factory wastegate actuator hooked up instead. The spring needs a little bit of tweaking to work 100% right and mine is boost actuated rather than vacuum, but I'd imagine that you could find a way to make it work for an N/A setup too.

The only problem i would see (i have mentioned it to kyle previously) is 0 vacuum can be seen in any gear at any RPM...so actually finding a way to have something that activates at a certain RPM might be difficult.

And a short vid

The extra spring on the shaft is used to adjust it for the boost opening psi. It pushes aginst the spring pulling in the waste gate actuator

I know, I wish I had one on my truck, The QTP cutout part is hard to come by on the cheap though .

Any ideas about doing it N/A? like what kinda switch or actuator would be needed?

Use exhaust pressure in a N/A setup. Run a metal tube from a fitting on the exhaust, and make it into a coil, like a still. This will cool the gas. Then install a 12V air solenoid valve, then tie it into the actuator. Activate the solenoid with a WOT throttle switch, and there you have it, soup de jour.
