Default vacuum hose

i was woundering if it will be ok to keep off the vacuum hose off and plug the ends !! the hose comes from the passenger side of the valve cover top front to the side of the manifold !! behind the throttle body !!?? since ive done that it runs alot better and has more throttle response !! i did put a catch can on the driver side because of oil and moisture that was sitting in side of the manifold !! and it would smoke every time i would start it up !! since that !! no more problem !! truck runs awesome !!! just saying !!
