I totally agree, my wife tells me all the time, where do yu come up with this or that. that and sometimes my brain is going so fast I skip words or say things backwards. she cracks up when that happens.

35 horsepower is hard to believe, especially with only 1 lb of pressure on it. I can see 35 horsepower with 3 lbs of pressure, but that just seems crazy. I would believe 15 horsepower....if you can show me pictures of it and/or schematics i can probably calculate the power it will make.

Here is some info that was sent over yesterday -

The cold air is producing over 1 full pound of manifold pressure and is generating MAF numbers that are well over 20% higher across the board.

1 VRTest mule 2000 5.3 /big tires extended cab 2wd no towing package

82deg 30.07Baro

0-60 mph stock = 10.44 sec (best)

0-60mph VR

cold air only = 9.86 sec ( worst) NO computer learn time

9.56- 9.68 sec after 40 miles or so

VaraRam will guarantee results so we'll see how this goes. It should be available in the next few weeks.

Tom

I'm still skeptical. Those are some slow 0-60 times. My Silverado SS would do 0-60 in about 6.8-6.9 seconds in stock form. Do you think it would improve by 0.5 seconds?

Also, I'd be interested in seeing data logs of the manifold pressure increase.

"The version without the ram air will be about $249. This will cover all of the 1999-'04 GM trucks and SUVs. There will also be a system for the 1996-'99 5.0 and 5.7 motors."
