IAT's are only 3-4* above outside temp just like my last setup. If I sit at idle for a long time (like 10 min) they'll go maybe 10* over outside temp. The box really doesn't "cover" the fans. I can't get a good photo of a side shot showing how far down the box goes, but it doesn't get much in the way of the e-fans blowing air.

It isn't real hot outside yet, but I can see what you're saying. After being on the road just driving around town for the past two hours I popped the hood to double check everything and the box felt cool. If the box was being heated and increasing my IAT's I would see it most definitely because the IAT sensor is directly behind the box on the way to the throttle body. Good logs to come with better weather.

that's what she said, bwahaha
yeah I could see that happening with that foam crap. The air ducts are pretty hardcore but not "bullet proof" ya know. I'm not worried about knives flying around in the engine bay cutting up the ducts lol
ha, advice taken. The wound is pretty good now, but yesterday when I was installing the kit I flexed the finger back a little too far and opened it up slightly, almost tearing out the stitch on teh far right

Did some more logs today and it appears that I'm going over the max MAP pressure. It ony happens at higher speeds of course, but I went ahead and ordered the 2Bar MAP sensor today because I already have been waiting on doing the 2bar custom OS for the truck for some time. I'm not betting on any kind of "real" boost, but I wonder what kind of MAP pressure I'm running up top. Soon the trans will be done, and maybe a ProCharger by winter? Iono, it sure would be nice.

It's in the assembly right in front of the throttle body. It's a triangular filter made by Green. Did some more data logging today and high temp was 93 on asphault with an IAT of 99 at idle and cruise IAT at 95. I'll get some long trip data in a few hours when I leave for Louisiana.
