I'm going to get some 1/4 times here soon compared to my old setup. I don't have the cam in there, so it'll be a straight VR vs. K&N test. On the highway I get 2mpg better with the VaraRam and throttle transitions when passing people are much more powerful. I'll post some data once I get it tested.

Will do, Patrick just got the new airbox in the mail so I should have it Monday. I have 1/4 times from when I had a tune/exhaust/intake (k&n) and the only thing different now is the VaraRam. I'm very confident in the product and it's a very durable one thus far. I haven't had to recharge the filter yet, but I'm probably going to when I get the new box because I've run it without the intake tubes for a week now.

IIRC, it should fit but it's a tight one. The old 7.4 is pretty close to the same dimensions as the newer 8.1 and you should have room as long as you have e-fans.

Now all I gotta do is get a ram air setup for the golf cart

Got the new intake in and it installs a little easier. The tubing routes just fine and there's no clearance issues. My IAT's aren't high at all being right behind the fans. I'm probably about 10% above ambient while sitting in traffic on 528. I did notice that the intake helped a lot towing the boat on the highway. Under load the motor needs a good amount of air, and the intake gives it the extra umph it needs while towing. I'm going to be out of town a lot the next month so I can't get to the track unfortunately. I'll get some new pics of mine later, and also I'll post pics of ryan's setup when I get home.

PM me if you're interested. I wonder if it would help the radix get a little more air?
