I know my 4.10's are killing my mileage a little....and the cam certainly isn't helping things

 

How are you getting 16-18 city with a ~5000 lb truck with 3.73's and a 6.0 when I am getting maybe 16 mpg with 70% city, 30% highway avg per tank with a SCSB 4.8 w/3.73's that weighs maybe 4400 lb?

I don't get it....and I drive like a granny.


I guess the tune really helps that much.

That's what I get with my 4.8

 

It has do have a little to do with the nelson tune and the ram air I'm pretty sure.

CHEVY6000VHO if you need someone to install the vette servo I know a guy that can do it for 40-50 bucks including the vette servo he is over here in Pasadena pm me if you think that would work for you. The vette servo is only for the intermediate you have to get a billet od servo.

 

cant beat that with a stick! keeping it under 2000 rpm's is how you do it, no voodoo magic gas.

Wish I could could get that kinda mileage but witha 3000 stall its impossible to keep it under 2000. Guess thats what I get for wanting to go fast

Damn NovaTime you want to get exact with your mileage two spots past the decimal is plenty good enough.

LOL! This is the first time I've ever seen these mpg numbers from my truck.
Might be the first time I drove it easy too.
With the gas prices the way they are, I just might be driving very moderately for a while.
