A buddy of mine has an '04 quad cab with intake, exhaust and tune. He runs about 6 tenths slower than me. He just put on some headers, but doesn't have good numbers yet.

Man, my seat of the pants meter must be broken because if I had to guess my VHO would run a high 15 or worse lol I may have to make a pass or two with the beater.
Its a fun DD but feels like it just stops when it goes into 3rd.

I should have been a little more clear. He is running 14.9x, which is 6 tenths slower than my best time on my 20s (14.30). Sorry for the confusion.

So you are about 1 second quicker with your best time. Are you going with headers next?

Yep. I have some Thorley Tri-Ys that I hope to have put on next Friday. After that I'm gonna do some small mods and pick me up a set of drag radials. A shift kit and stall will come after that. It is a slow process for me.

a good tune will take care of that... my truck was the same after 2-3shift it felt slow, now you can still feel it pulling after the 2-3shift...
