VHP/Crane accelerate/quick lift rockers.
I got these in the mail today:
VHP / Crane 1.89 (1.8) rockers.
They're nice looking parts... They look good sitting there. They're fun to pick up and play with ever now and then. There is not much else I can say about them at this point.
I'll be installing them hopefully within a months time. We'll see. The install looks a little involved - maybe a 4-6 hour procedure that requires time for the lifters to bleed down. I may end up doing VHP/Crane duals at the same time (which are on the agenda this spring regardless).

I think my lift will work out to be about .562". Not too shabby.
I'm considering pulling out the 047 for your 062 (oooorrrrrr, something else from them), but I'm not sure if the $250 it will cost me in the end to swap/sell cams is worth it to bring the lift up to about .583".
The TR55's - geeze, honestly I forget. Whatever the stock gap is - that's what I set them to. These plugs are coming up on about 25K miles now. I should pull a few soon to check them out.

They look like a nice piece Marc, What springs are you using now? Get the valve spring tool from them also, It worked great for me.
My tr55s are gapped at 55, I am pretty sure they came that way from NGK

Hey Matt - I'm using 918's right now. I have no complaints with them, but I like what I've been hearing about the Crane duals... I'll probably have to get that tool - I used "the larry tool" before which does them one at a time. I put some wear and tear on it with the 918 install - I reseated some springs like three times each because I'm paranoid about the locks/retainers being pefect.

I took the easy way out with the Harland Sharps, I hated doing the valves on the oval track car so I went the easy route. How much preload do they say a Vinci? I just changed pushrod length with the new cam because I think I had too much.

I'm really not all that familiar with rocker setups in cars/trucks... These are asking for an initial setting to zero lash, then 2 turns of preload on the adjusting nut, a quarter turn at a time with breaks in between to allow the lifters to bleed.
These rods are 7.250. I'm currently running 7.4's...
