Rhino, your mechanical genius is only surpassed by your extensive ms paint talent, you should pursue a carrer being one of those guys who draw the lines on the tv during football games.
I would say something about the build, but Ryan pretty much has it covered, so I'll just go on doing what I do, which is shell out precious cash.

I think its power range is something like 3000-7000 rpms, so I wouldn't say its good for low end power, but we're looking at (hopefully) a 45-75 peak hp increase.

Haha, he was on a budget when assembling the 408, and it had the iron heads with the motor, so we went with them temporaily, it's about to get some aluminum heads though. As far as the low end power, I doubt it will be much different from 3000-4500 or so, but the truck has a 4000 stall so thats not a big issue. What was hurting it bad was not being able to use the entire rpm range, and this setup should definetly solve that problem. Looking for about a 6700 shift point or so, the sam should peak around 6300 or 6400 so maybe shift between 6500 and 6700.

With a MPI system you don't have that problem when the fuel is being sprayed at high psi on the back of the intake vlave. You will see more low end tq with fuel inj on the same intake vs a carb.

Well tonight I messed with it some more and I found the mystery whistle......it's coming from the pcv valve. I don't know if it's because of the way it is tee'd with the vent on the other valve cover or what, but it whistled when above idle. Well I pulled the pcv out of the valve cover an the whistle instantly stopped, and I left it out for a bit running the throttle from under the hood, and could not get it to do it again. So I put the PCV back in and within a few seconds, the whistle was back. I might try a different pcv valve or just put a breather in it, but that is the problem. I checked all over for vaccum leaks, none found using starting fluid.
