Default Vinci High Performance "041" Cam

Specs are: 228º/236º .600/.600 114 on Crane lobes, go to www.cranecams.com and look up part number 144HR00041 for complete cam specs. I'm cusrious if anyone here has a sound clip/dyno chart....or a clip/chart of a similar cam ??

This is the one I'm leaning towards in a BIG way once my PRC LS6 heads get here, I've been researching a little and most seem to think this will be a good "compromise" cam, meaning it will work good both NA and FI. I'm going to be limited on the boost I can run anyway with the 10.4:1 CR I'll have (yet another compromise between NA and FI) so I'm not too worried about the boost-bleed that will probably occur with this cam....

My 044 (210º/218º .531/.531 114) has so much torque that I spin even on part-throttle takeoff's, I'd be happy to lose a little bit if I could gain it up top. The 4.10's are going to help me out a bit even if I'm down on torque

i'd get a 220 or 224 cam biggest but thats just me.. thats bigger than my fbody cam(228/230) and that suks for daily driving sorta..

You are gonna loose some low end with a 224 cam so that might be whatcha want. I wouldnt go so dang big that you loose to much down low.

Remember I'm looking for a good "compromise" cam....something that will work ok both FI and NA, I tend to think this is a little too large for a DD as well but more and more people are driving HUGE cams every day and seeming to think they do just fine in our heavy *** trucks, I know of at least two people that are running (or going to run) MS3's in 6.0's.....one in a lifted 4x4 and he says he loves it !!

I ran a cam very similar to that (and still do except for the reverse split). mwalls is now running my old cam in his 408 (230/236 .60x/.61x on a 114) and I think he has some sound clips up. I think Parish ran a similar cam as well in his 6.0.

That's a better s/c cam than a turbo cam, IMO. The forward split was much rougher for me than the reverse split.
