Default vinci trucker cam spring ?

I am going to be installing a p1sc is about a month and i am wanting to go with the low lift trucker cam because i heard it does very good with boost. Its going in a stock lq4 and i am just wondering if the yellow (ls6?) springs will do. I used the search button and some said yes and some said no. If not any recommendations? I was wanting to do duels as insurance but that would be way over kill on that cam. Anyone running this cam on a similiar f/i setup? How does it like the boost and where does it makes it power. truck has 3.73 on stock wheels and tire sizes, stock manifold.
Thanks in Advance!

I'd recommend a good quality dual valve spring. IMO, valve springs is not a place to skimp.

I'm not trying to be cheap but I figured a good set of beehives would be best for a mild cam like that. But hey you guys are the experts on these engines! What duels do you recommend?

**** happens, springs break. Even good ones.

One of my customers has a Trucker/Maggie 5.3, and he brought it in because of a strange valvetrain tapping noise that would come & go. Engine ran perfectly, in or out of boost, he said. Besides the noise, he couldn't tell that anything was wrong. Here is what we found.

If he had beehives, and the spring broke..... There are some threads on here about that happening.

Wow that's crazy. Yeah I've seen a few pics in here about single springs. Will be contacting some vendors in a week or so

I agree with Roger on this one. That's not to say that you can't run a Beehive, and even the LS6 spring for that matter. People do it with no issues... but trust me you don't wanna be the guy who DOES have an issue.

I have a friend who runs the PAC 1518 with this cam. Its a beehive that is more than capable of handling the ramp rates etc of that cam.
