i found the site where Im gonna order the parts for the ram air. just have to wait to take some measurements. should be around 50-60 bucks shipped. then comes the welding heres the site http://www.pricefitters.com/Default.aspx

will I have to get an aftermarket MAF after i install a ram air scoop?

You shouldn't, I'm using the factory MAF with my Volant...

You don't flow enough to justify upgrading the MAF, unless your FI and pushing it...

You are correct.........the truck will only what it needs at any rpm or throttle position. If you're @ WOT and air is being bforced into the box(but the truck only uses a certain amount), the excess is being forced through the fire wall. The ram-air will only work if you can block it off...........thats why they call it RAM-AIR....hehehehe. You need to block it off somehow. That's what I did. The water issue, I take my block off plate and just used a sewer cap so I can screw or unscrew it in when it rains. I have heard of some people getting water on there maf's before going on long trips.
