Default Volant Intake Round 2

Well, I had purchased the Volant Intake in July, 04. In November I find out that they redesigned the intake for my truck. Further research showed that some dyno showed a loss of HP over the stock intake. SO I AM PISSED!
I call up volant rather irritated and they tell me I can upgrade to the new one for $125.00. Not wanting to fork out another $300.00 for different intake I cough up the dough. I thought I was done. Three weeks of lost orders and not shipping and bitchiness goes by and I finally have the new intake. My thoughts:

1. Design looks much better than the original.
2. Quality is even better than the original. (Which was impressive)
3. Sounds alittle deeper.
4. DEFINITELY has more power than the original

Overall, I am happy with the intake. Just not excited about what I had to go through to get it.

Did you have the optional air scoop? If so, did it bolt up to the new box?

I just bought a Volant for my Tahoe from T Byrne about two weeks ago; would that be the new one?
