I spoke with T from Volant performance, and he is aware of the situation with disgruntled owners. However, nothing is going to be done about the situation since they were able to make 10 rwhp from the airbox. I let him know that there were other documented findings that show volant cai to loose Hp. We talked in detail about how many users that were upset and wanted something done. He said to email t@volantperformance.com with your complaints, and he would flood the boss's box with them to get a program in place to help us get the newly designed box.

"Dear Volant Performance representative,

The reason I am writing to you is two-fold. First is the "less than advertised" performance claim and second is a quality control problem with the Volant Cold Air Intake System airbox itself.

It is my understanding that the performance claim issue has been documented (see below). But, in addition, my airbox is warped and the lid does not seal properly. I know that I could rectify the problem by adding more adhesive foam around the airbox opening but that should not be necessary on a $325 airbox. If possible I would sincerely appreciate receiving a new & improved airbox to replace the less than satisfactory airbox I received. Sincerely,"
