yeah LOL I haven't heard very many good things about them, I'm just running dryer duct to my CAI from the bumper valence I also sealed off all other air passages to the filter seems a little better.

i didnt notice SOTP difference but my set up compared to my buddies K&N FIPK with functional ram air hood is night and damn for IATs...his will take almost a mile to come down where mine will be right down within a few hundred feet...hence the whole 'cool air intake'...

Mine showed a 35hp/28lb tq increase on the dyno...no wait that was the Tornado Nah, I didn't notice a difference. It may be worth something at 200 mph lol. I think I read where some guys reported cooler IAT's, but I'm not sure.

The only way you will find any difference is to run scan logs to check the IAT, LTFT, Maf, ect. If the IAT's are lower at low speeds, and medium speeds that means you are getting a more dense mixture into the engine. If the air is moving at a higher velocity into the intake chamber it actually slows down when it reaches the TB. Most of the time that happens you need to tweek the tune to take advantage of the extra fuel. The logs should point out what changes should be made. While you may not see much of any difference at 80, the response at the lower speeds should be seen.
