Default Volant's New PowerCore 100,000 mile air filter

Anybody running one? They claim good things about them, but a 100,000 mile oilless filter, I have my doubts??

Thanks for clarifying, lol. If its a way to avoid the periodic cleaning and re-oiling of filters it may be worth a second look for most CAI filter applications

I agree, it's a pain in the *** hosing down my k&n once every year. I wish I had some way to make me lazier. Thanks!

It just seems like money could be better spent elsewhere. Am I wrong with thinking that?

True dat, I had no real plan to buy one, just wondered if anybody had seem them yet. Just seemed like a bold claim of 100,000 miles w/ a dry filter that doesn't need any maintenance, re-oiling etc..

It seems to me based on the design of them it would be a added restriction over a standard style air filter. Industrial equipment uses similar style air filters and they filter well but are not very free flowing..

If you have ram air or an open style heat shield for your CAI or take your truck into dusty conditions then you have to do it ALOT more often. My old ebay heat shield setup would need to be cleaned 2-3 times a deer season, my buddy who has the ram air setup has to clean his every oil change so it may be beneficial to them. Everyone cant be as cool as you Mark.
