LT headers and exhaust
Camshaft
PCM tuning
Torque converter

the GM LT4 Hotcam has dynoed on a Vortec 383 at 330rwhp(around 400crank hp).

The stock poppet injection wont support much more due to the fact that they cant be swapped for higher flowing units.

Westers garage doies sell a flow matched spider however, they will support 440 crank hp.

peace

A good tune will do wonders. Be sure the intake gaskets have ben replaced, they are prone to leaking coolant, and sometimes it leaks into the oil.

my 96 had full bolt-ons. a crane 214-220 cam and 1.5 roller rockers. b&m 2400 holeshot convertor. truck ran 13.90 at 99 mph.

3.90 gears made a world of difference after the cam swap also. the only mods to the tune was added timing and zero tq management using jet dst.

Was your 2400 converter pretty tight and did you have any surging issues? Also stock compression?

The cam and a good tune will make a big improvement in that engine.

just remeber with a cam over .440 lift, you'll need to have the heads re-done to accomodate the added lift.
