I had one fail, but I belive it was partly due to some bad gas. Truck was doing fine, filled up, drove fine the rest of the day then started becoming hard to start. Friends mon had the exact same thing happen to hers, swapped the pump on hers, and it's been all good since.
I got pissed held the key till I fried the starter, the next week I developed a transmission line leak that happened to be leaking on a header, and the truck caught on fire. Possibly due to my not being in the best mood when I changed the starter???

Also. I didn't swap my pump, a friend did it for me while I was living in the virgin islands, but he used a walbro for a mustang, and iirc it was a direct fit not 100% though

im curious to why you just used the stock fuel pump (sending) tubing instead of the hose it comes with? I am going to try to use the hose it comes with, will it cause a problem since the one it comes with from texas speed is a lot shorter than the stock one?

Did you buy a new bucket? If so, where did you buy it? When I had to put a stock pump back in mine the pump alone was crazy $$$!!! I had a lot of problems with my walbro blowing the rubber hoses off!!! Every 50 miles or so, and when I was trying to get the stock hose off the factory one, it turned out to be impossible so I had to cut it........

No, I bought mine from a member on here off his 2003 he reused his factory hose with it. Sold me the whole bucket because he already modded the bucket and rendered it useless because he was turning the truck back to stock and went with the stock setup. That sucks about the cost of the stock pumps its ridiculous. Did you try to scrape the walbro outlet with a screwdriver to scuff it up a bit. Might help to keep it on there a little better.

yea i used the stock tube inside the tank.

the one that comes with the tank is way to short....it would put the pump to high in the bucket you probly wouldnt be able to run less that a half a tank.

i dont run mine past 1/4 tank now to be on the safe side.

you could replace the stock line with a high pressure line and put a check valve between
