Ok, I'm not very wiring savy, what wire do you need from the factory harness to the relay? 12v source for power on pump, harness power supply turns on the relay?
And I guess might as well ask where the best place for the fuse would be in the 12v power line or on the pump side?
And what size fuse do most run with a pump like that?

Put the fuse between the battery and the relay.

your factory harness has a power that turns on the fuel pump, you wire that to the relay, so when it gets power the relay allows the 12v wire you ran from the battery to turn on the pump
