Josh, as far as I know the GSS340 is the same 255lph pump used for mustangs. I dont know if that helps any but... Whats up with yours?

UPDATE:

just got back from Sum*it Racing. Found a Walbro GSS340 in a Edelbrock box, part #EDL-3581 for $99.99! can't beat that! Even though its a Edelbrock part number and comes in a Edelbrock box it still even says Walbro GSS340 right on the side of the pump!

We were comparing the pump to a Holley one ( also walbro) The Holley was a walbro # GSS307 apearance wise they looked exactly the same. Anyone know what the difference is? They are both 255lph, Edelbrock one was cheaper and was a GSS340 so hey cant loose there.

Thats what I said... The one that failed wasnt very old.

Any chance the inline is not letting the intank build up enough resistance causing it to spin too freely and burn up? Or am I smoking crack with that idea.
