a 99+ chassis will support a drop in install of any LSx engine. As far as parts and costs of the project read some posts about 6.0L swaps. It will be the same swap (only your LS1, LS6 engines are aluminum block)

i was just once like u, but i owned a 2000 si putting down 380 fwhp via 17 lbs of boost from a vortech, b16a built for boost and some good suspension pieces like traction bars and some other good stuff which alowed me to run low 11's when i had the slicks on. But i soon got tired of the front wheel drive crap and bought me a real car a CHEVROLET. I plane on putting a ls6 in my truck and after that i might be able to help u out.
