what if......you used the alky injection to keep more timing in? would that make more hp?

I fully understand what you are saying bro. I agree that with a basic system uder 10psi a standard heat exchanger like you have which works extremely well from what I have read then alky injection is not needed. BUT in a vehicle trying to push the envelope and run a bunch more boost or those without heat exchangers like Whipple or older Vortech kits would greatly benifit form alky.

I ran 9lbs of boost on my old Mustang with no heat exchanger at all so I know all about proper tuning and not blwoing up, although I learned the hard way and melted 3 pistons on 3 different occasions

I look at it this way, if you start upping the boost and your AITs get anywhere over 100+deg then Alky could still help by flashing and dropping AITs to 80deg or less.

But, if I have edit and want to boost my timing, say 2-3 degrees, then the alky injection could keep the KR from showing up, that would otherwise without it.

True. In retrospect, the more you push it the more it changes from a daily drive to a daily problem, trust me been there doing that! 9 psi on the radix with a 6.0 is within what I consider to be daily driven, with a proper tune. If you want to take it to the track and run it with more than that, throw some race gas in and tune it up with edit.

And you are 100% correct F8LPONY, I am dont want you guys to think that alky inj does not work.....I just think money/time could be spent in better places on moregrip's truck.

Well Alk injection is only on at so much boost right and has to be refilled? I don't see it helping too much considering you have a pretty efficient blower and intercooler setup.

From my memory you want less timing as boost increases.

thats what i understaand too, less timing with more boost, however, I think the ability to run more timing with more boost = more power, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

In theory yes.....but where does one draw the line on a daily driver? Trust me, I know where you are coming from!!
